Yes, I love trees, too. I always think they are here to watch over us. I think it is the different interpretations of these themes that capture me. So, all beautiful in their own ways.

Thank you so much -everyone. This did end up being a really pretty collection- and it was a tough theme, huh? I applaud all who so bravely took it on.

The challenges do take us out of our ‘comfort zone’ as artist. We deal with subject matter that we might NOT ever do on our own. And the important thing is that we exercise creative muscles in the process. I really think it's one of the healthiest things we can do for ourselves as artist and for our own minds (as far as that goes).

Another great little side line is- if an artist gets creatively ‘blocked’ , doing a challenge just opens the barn door. All comes rushing back out!

And the patrons are starting to find us now and checking our work out. I just sold my entry for Spring Fever (contact from this site. ) I also repeatedly get notes from people saying they really like the challenge galleries and the whole concept. The adjective consistently written is 'great fun.'

They're coming and we'll be ready for them! We just got our feet wet, you know?

These challenges are changing my work. Have commented; some where, about this. No longer to I approach a piece with a concept only. Tend to ponder it for a while, what is it saying not only to my eyes, but my heart and mind and if it turns out well it represents a part of my soul. Look at the rendition we each come up with and the world becomes more a touching compassionate loving "complete" world. Truely am very fortunate to be a part of this gallery of Artists.
