From Kimberley:
I was playing around with the paint program that comes with every
computer and came up with the basic design through that medium. I got a
strong reaction from someone and thought it might be fun to freehand it
with paint. I actually like this one, it’s fun and I think the color
blue is tranquil; hence “Tranquility”.

Like an image from a Fairy Tale and I love the very angular shapes in the water contrasting with the roundness of the shapes in the sky.

This would be a great image for a whole story…I am reminded of fairy tales and dreamscapes. I like the hard lines mixed with the round lines…the clouds for me are what make the whole work come together. Just a little hint of clouds and everything starts to move. Great work.

I Love it. Am I wrong to think of ‘it’s a small world’?

I don’t think your wrong to think of it’s a small world…everything going on around the people in the boat does suggest a vastness that highlights the fragility of mankind. I look at it and I think they are unaware of what is ahead…Does the moon’s eyes watch them out of curiosity or does the moon already know what is going to happen…is there a possibility of falling off the edge…or will they safely go on….

Really fun piece Kimberley. I like the graphic layout, the face in the moon, and ‘nother’ celestial bodies floating beside it.

Kimberley, This is WONDERFUL. Eric story has provided the start of a story for the “gkids coming tomorrow” Shall use this one somewhere within the story for illustration. (we tell one story that we make up each week and the one grandkid is assigned to find a picture in a magazine and I provide one and we build the story (usually something read so thanks again Eric Mountain Dreamer) This work would be perfect for a book! I’m so glad Sonya that you enjoy it and hope the children enjoy it too….I love telling stories, especially open ended ones where anyone can insert their own imagination…how fun what you do with the gchildren….

Sonya, I would love to see the story the G-Kids come up with. Such a creative way to stimulate the imagination of young-uns. I love the idea.
