The Art Challenge # 16- Anonymous

August 29th, 2009 · 8 Comments

I am shadow and mystery. Masked and invisible, I watch and listen.
You call me a unknown, but you are well aware of my existence.
You search for me, yet I stand right beside you.
Every face you wonder …could it be me?
Be assured, I am with you.
Nameless and unidentified is the choice I’ve made.
I am ANONYMOUS.

Creepy, huh?

Members of The Artist Challenge present to you Gallery #16- “ANONYMOUS” !

The Artist Challenge is a website for Mature Audience. Some images may not be suitable for children or those sensitive to adult subject matter. VIEWERS VISIT OUR SITE AT THEIR OWN DISCRETION.

Shadow of Anonymity

A creature of habit, bound by character.
Silently seeking the cloak of darkness,
Shadow Stalker, revels in
Anonymity!

Avoiding the light of acknowledgement.
Watching, listening, careful observation,
Shadow Stalker, deftly averts,
recognition!

Hidden deep inside, a second self.
Restrained, held captive by reserved ambition,
Darkness’s counterpart, desires but one thing…
Acceptance!

Shadow Stalker, beware, shade the light.
Your silent alter, far from reserved,
will outshine your desired anonymity.
Ambition!

Acknowledgment, recognition, acceptance!
Warmth and comfort, found in companionship.
Shackles degraded, captivity cast off, Ambition has
tasted approval!

This is such a “thinking” Challenge. I’m going to have to spend some time absorbing the work here. It’s all so amazing, well thought, and choreographed. Sounds like the wrong word, but maybe just right.

All of the images stir something for me, deep within. I’ll have to sort through those emotions before I comment individually.

I agree Eric. I have the luxury of seeing each image as the send them to me weeks prior. I found all the different interpretaions pretty profound.

What a wonderful, wonderful, fun, interesting, conceptual gallery. This is such a fun site to be a part of!!

Fun play of words Eric! Starts with creepy then ends, as you put it, “Acknowledgment, recognition, acceptance!
Warmth and comfort, found in companionship.”
There’s this guy who lives in my neighborhood, your words put him in mind. I call him “Creepy” and I would rather he remain anonymous…lol!

What an interesting collection. So many ideas of what this months theme means to each of you. Very fun and I don’t know how we all do it, but they all seem to “go” together again…do you guys feel that too? It’s like some kind of magic creator thing…Love it!

Welcome to all visitors! Please leave comments and let us know what moves you, we love to hear from the public, & Thanks for being here today.

I joined a few days ago and meandered through all of the challenges of the past. They’re awesome. So it was with great expectation I waited to see the paintings for this challenge posted. One thing I appreciate more than talent is the opportunity to also glimpse at the thought process. Everyone is so generous to share that.
I look forward to painting with all of you.

    Real quality gallery….

This gallery seems to have more differing interpretations than previous ones. I think all of your art is very thought-provoking and as always stunning, each and altogether.

Eric, your words really drew a wonderfully dark and mysteriously creepy picture/scene for me. I’m feeling like I want to meet this Shadow Stalker…is that strange?

    Hi Eric,
It seems as if you’ve described my blogging personality very well. Your words captured my imagination, my friend. Wonderful poetry. I wish I could write even a simple one. You’re a great artist in your own poetic way.
