From Jfay:
To me, the greatest gift of all is life. Life that begins in the cosmos and life that has been given to us here on our own planet. I am in love with everything planetary and thus my inspiration for the Out of This World Candle. You can reserve your very own galaxy in the colors and scent of your choice as a very special gift for yourself or someone you love.

This is so pretty. Now I noticed this one didn’t include ’acrylics’ with your mediums – and the moons on the candle appear to be wax also? How did you pull that off so clean and perfect, Mistress Candle maker?

And I agree. Life is the greatest gift of all- and I also love anything to with space and the galaxies.

so many senses your work satisfies. Close your eyes and the scent, open your eyes to the light of the candle, touch and feel the imprint you put into your work and to the imagination expansion of thought; I too agree the greatest gift is life and learning.

I love it! Your are a genius Jfay, and your so right, Life is the greatest gift. I’m going to have to decide just exactly what color and scent would best define my “galaxy”.

Ah, tis a secret, Pub Wench Vikki! But yes, this design is done completely in wax. I blend the waxes to come up with the color scheme/design for my moons and planets and place them in the mold — the inside of my molds are my canvas – albeit a narrow canvas in which to “paint” my picture. Some of my designs do include acrylics to provide accent or a design in which I cannot complete with only wax, but this one was one that was made completely of wax. And thank you Sonya, I’m very pleased that my work can be enjoyed by several senses, including the sense of smell — The aromas become just as important in many of my creations as the look, as everything works together to make a complete statement. But thank you both again, I certainly appreciate your comments : )

Ahhh, Jfay! –Another visual masterpiece which can be improved for me only by having it physically present so that I could smell its wondrous aroma. –Such a genius you are to make me want even more of your waxy works for my personal ongoing/growing collection.

One of my very favorite subjects, too and I think this is wonderful. What scent did you pick for your galaxy, I wonder?
