From Mary Mary:
PRIVATE PROPERTY! KEEP OUT! That is what the sign says as you read it out loud to yourself…Do I? Don’t I? Just drive on by? PRIVATE PROPERTY again reels in your head. A decision is to be made. What is over the hill you wonder? Huummnnn, where does the road lead? It’s trespassing you think, unlawful, but you just have to know. No one is around. No one will see if you take that road you think…….

Mary Mary…An eerie stormy sky and oh-so-inviting dirt road. Mysteries call to us from the path ahead….and beyond boundaries of where we are ’NOT’ suppose to go.

I always wonder where the road leads to and sometimes I have to find out. Your fields are beautiful as are the trees in the distance. I like it a lot.

Your work often reminds me of Northwest artist Paul Havas, who I used to collect (his work, not Paul) ravenously. Certainly, you exhibit a talent for capturing landscapes that’s to be envied — certainly it’s envied by me.

Beautiful painting Mary Mary! I think I learned something – it is more beautiful to my eye to see soft subtle movement than the stronger, bold strokes I often use! Great painting!

Thank you for your kind words Beckie! I used a great big brush to get the soft effect which is new for me.

such texture you put into your work. It’s as if the road beacons you and you have to see whats pulling you around the bend. Really lovely Mary!

I did try for texture in this painting. I am glad that you noticed! Thanks Sonya.
