From Sonya: ““Moon O’re the Hills Lithograph“ is made on archival gallery wrapped canvas. These pieces takes up to 4 days for the resin finish to cure and “cool” after blow torch treatment.

The shifting shadows change as the moon rotates around Mother Earth. The dance delights the eyes pull at my heart during the full moon.

“Art builds on the past, lives in the present, and dreams into the future.”

This is a knock out Sonya. Love the rich blues and values of purple and the light and shadow play on the fence….. And very spoooooooky!

This is beautiful. The shadows created by a full moon on a clear night in a landscape can take my breath away. Especially when the trees have lost their leaves.

You did it again! You always come up with the most unique art techniques. Blow Torch? Wow! And the painting is wonderful – as always!

As someone who tends to see life (especially as portrayed in my artwork) as black and white, I have an especial appreciation of artists, like you, who have the ability to provide such wondrous splashes of (blow-torched?!) brilliance that so capture my imagination and please my eye.

Ohhhhh…… I really love this piece! Hauntingly beautiful — Love the full moon and the colors in the night sky, ohhh, and the scary trees : )

Sonya, I echo everyone above me…and I am wondering what is beyond the spooky trees?

I love how the night sky envelops the moon; I can almost feel the crisp, cold air on my skin as shimmering stars seem to dance across purple and blue velvet ..
.. and since it was blow torched ( wow ! ) that makes it flamin awesome in my book !
[ Sorry, just had to go there hehe ]

Beautiful colors and love the idea of a blow torch to get the effect!
