As I had said- This is such a wonderful example of contemporary art. Really clean lines and subtle color choice could easily work in any contemporary setting.
And I also want to say to any one visiting… THIS IS CLAY! I know!! Can you believe it?

First, I am impressed with the art work on its own. Second, I thought it was a painting. You photographed it perfectly. I do wish you would share in your thought process to create it. This would translate as well in a 4′x 5′ wall piece.

I did paint the inks onto uncured clay which do dry pretty quickly. I wanted to portray the part of a tornado where the power is. After curing, and seeing the much softer than planned resulting colors, I recalled a meteorologist who described a tornado as a “terrible beauty.”
