From Jfay:
Well, as you can see, I did go with the literal name of this gallery to create a Butterfly Circus in wax. My first inclination upon reading the name of this gallery was an automatic thought of the fun of an actual butterfly circus, and then my thoughts went to making the butterfly {itself} the circus, and to go with a vintage yet festive appeal. Like the old horses upon a Carousel that have had their days of glory but are still beautiful with their paint now peeling and showing the wear of many years of fun service.
I’ve also blended a new scent for the occasion, called Butterfly Dance ~ A beautiful and playful aroma of rich creamy vanilla blended with cherry (which has a hint of clove) and wonderfully sweet and robust honey to bring even more character and a hint of the outdoors.

This is so elegant Jfay. I really like the dry brush white on white and pattern on your little butterfly. Really well done. And a cherry, vanilla and honey scent- A perfect example of the unique choices you make for your art candles. They certainly aren’t something anyone would ever find in your typical candle store.
I’ve had SO many complements on my rum, coconut and spice scented Dante’s Pub Candle. Every guest that comes to my home wants to know where I got it!

Jfay, it’s almost as much pleasure waiting in anticipation to see what you come up, wax-artisan-wise, for each new challenge, as it is waiting in anticipation for the next new candle I’m lucky enough to commission from you. No one can craft a candle like you can, this “butterfly circus” candle no exception.

Your use of the patterns perfectly represent the circus. I like that you applied it in the wings, then it is truly all about the butterfly. Wonderful interpretation.

The texture and pattern give movement and depth. When I first looked at this I wondered if there was a layer of black beneath, that was cut out and showing through. Cherry, cloves and vanilla….sounds enticing!

Jfay. Black and white. How elegant a feel you have brought to the delicate concept of the butterfly. The fragrance is perfect! Each one of your pieces is so perfectly themed. I sit here using my imagination to concoct the aroma.

And to you all out there—those little butterfly waxed pieces -she includes as a bonus with her perfect candles. I have all but drained mine in a hot plate that have burned over and over in the two months. Am very stingy with burning the candle that purchased only lighting it on “special” days.

An illusion! I found the longer I looked at your butterfly, the more it seemed to be moving. I really like this, also. Vanilla and cherry are my favorite flavors and scents…

Thank you all so very much! I’m glad you enjoyed my little offering as much as I did creating it — The Butterfly Dance Scent is now one of my favorites, it’s just too delicious, and hey, at least there are no calories when enjoying an aroma! And Sonya, I’m very glad that you are enjoying your candle and scent chips! Vikki — thank you for letting me know that your Pirate’s Booty is being enjoyed as well ; )
