We have hummingbirds in Calif. The most extrordinary thing is their tiny nests are about the size of a dime (if that) There is one that creates her nest in in my courtyard- in a potted tree every Spring . When her babies hatch and they stick their little heads up calling for her- its the most extraordinary and a dramatic miniture performance.
Like all birds - they're also intelligent. They actually taunt my cats , flying infront of the screen doors knowing the cats can't get to them.

We don't get hummingbirds here in France, I wish we did, but we do get the hummingbird moth, a beautiful little thing that looks like a bee but acts just like the bird with it's hovering, whirring wings and long nectar loving tongue. Thanks Sonya.

Delicate. You have captured the tiny flight and stopped the beating wings mid air! Love when the hummingbirds come back each Spring. They now visit the flowers on the front porch while we sit swinging. Excellent Ray.

I have a customer that is a collector of Hummingbirds and will send her this to her in an email. Love the intricate detail on the bird and flower.
