“I’m down so deep, it’s so dark. But here come the divers on their Night Dive w/ flashlights. Now I can see my prey, in the beams of the lights. In seconds the prey is mine!! I love this silence.”

    Hi Pegi-
When I first received this from you… my eyes were actually matrixing this into a beautiful abstract. It wasn’t until I had in folder and viewed it as a smaller image that I realized it was a beautiful fishy. Love your little story that goes with it. Lol

Really a bold image of familar subject. You captured the silvery color we expect the fish to be. That is NOT easy. wow

Ok, Ok Pegi sue; your making it very very difficult to eat fish! May swear off this as well now. Gave up meat when was 7!

Thanks! It was VERY hard to get that silvery effect, and I’m still not sure I got it. But that’s how it is staying!!!LOL

Sonya, I eat fish, I just paint it first!!:P

Good God, Mr. Tarpon, watch the hell out for those divers and their flashlights (AND their spear guns)! One of them obviously is Pegi Sue out looking for subject matter for a “Silence” portrait AND for her fish dinner. (By way of an aside, Pegi Sue, loved your “Ex” comment left as regards my dumped-in-the-East-River submission!).

Good enough to eat! And a very successful silvery effect in my opinion. Can’t wait to see more of your work. Quite striking.

This is a spirited painting depicting silence. I really like the choice of colors in this.

I love that ‘in your face’ perspective…yes, deep in the oceans lives a very distinct silence, for which I would be too chicken to experience myself!

BTW, Sarah, on a night dive, with these fish, 5-6ft. long flying past you….OMG, it’s very scary. They watch were you point your lite and grab what you are looking at!!!! I had a MAJOR panic attack my first dive!!!!!LOL
