Love your brilliant blues. Wow! and you’re right it does have a Disney-ish quality. It moves while standing still.

The sea horse is particularly adorable Gail—has that transparent underwater glimmer!

I see a labyrinth. The painting of the fish as transparent with lost and found edges and images adds to the journey.

Thank all of you for your comments. William, I laughed out loud, I was ready to fry the fish by the time I finished this! Sonya the sea horse “appeared” out of the paintings elements one day…he wanted in on this too. Rusty, you seem to be on the same wavelength with me very often…. my explanation of the concept behind the painting is on my blog – “Easel Tides”.

Vikki, thanks for your comment…I really wanted that movement of back and forth, and also around in circles, to emphasize the concept of the painting.

What lies beneath the ocean that we still have to discover? A beautiful and mysterious painting. Another world. On a more technical note, I’d really love to know which mix of media you used here but whatever it is, was, it’s a beautiful piece of art.
