From Vikki:
My online buddy, photographer and collage artist Marianne Kovalinka, had taken a photograph of this little purple crocus. It appears that she just pointed the camera down at her feet as she stood over them. Unusual perspective? She was talking my language! Life is seen from our own perspective.”
You can read about it on Vikki‘s Blog.

I was snuggled down on my belly in front of it with my nose down in the little cups to get a violet sniff! They look so delicate and REAL!

Thanks Sonya.
Heck- I didn’t know what they were either. When I talked to Marianne about them I just called them purple flowers. LOL. She told me what they were crocus.

Love this….this could have been at my front door! The first sign of spring here is the view of these sweet purple crocuses. This is a lovely reminder of new beginnings to have year round.

I had no sooner published this gallery and checked my email for late submissions. I had already received an offer and sold this painting last night.
Harping alert:…The more you post- the more you sell. I’ve sold a lot of work on the Challenge..AND YOU CAN ALSO. All you have to do is send me a jpg.

Love the colors, just beautiful!

Thanks Mary Anne. I think I like the grey background behind those flowers the most. It allowed me to do the detail I love, but the background didn’t upstage or compete with the flowers. That’s always an issue for me with florals.
