You contained it momentarily between the edges of this work. Look at that texture

fire is used in art so many ways. The energy in this painting is fierce. I am drawn to those cool blue eyes. Your texture is engaging.

Hey Gail -
I’m having a hot flash! Love the cold blue eyes in the middle of firey face. This series is so much fun.

The eyes have the look of the ocean. For me, this painting comes over as having a quiet and spiritual aura about it. Peace and serenity with such a fierce pallet of color. Stunning.

Sonya and Rusty, this is the first piece I did with the use of so much texture. Everyone who sees it in person wants to touch it, which for me adds another level of engagement. (Except when they want to pull the thick paint off!)
Rusty and Vikki, the intent with intensity of the eyes was to draw the viewer from across the room, or from a distance to come closer.
Fanny, Thank You!
Ray, Thank you, you seem to “understand” me. That sounds so corny! If all of our creating is somehow bringing an aspect of ourselves forward, this piece reflected my own “inner fire” and spiritual passion towards my artwork and the transition it is currently going through. The peace and serenity you see in the eyes is the creative gift I feel I am given whenever I work. I am enjoying this series, and have found developing the four elements has been quite a journey of its own.

Vikki, It could have been the hot flashes that brought this to mind in the first place!
