I lived most of my early life in the midwest. My first trip to the Pacific Coast was when I was 18 yrs. old. I loved the shape of the trees as they had grown with the direction of the constant wind. This reminds me of that first impression.

This fit’s the theme perfectly and is so endearing! I’m anxious to read your story and am off to Inferno.

Now, that’s my kind of tree. Love it to pieces.

Brilliant Sarah. An ancient, gnarled oak creaking in the cruel and hot Georgia summer winds. I love it! :-)

Wonderful Sarah–the colors you used to shape and form this beauty are perfect.

I do love a windblown tree and especially what’s on the other side ;)

I’m so sorry for my belated THANK YOU! I’ve always had a special fondness for ‘naked’ trees.

(And, Ray, I have to say that I was inspired by that tree in one of your recent paintings that I loved ;)

I love those gnarled and wind blown trees, too – you’ve captured the twists and turns they make as they grow despite the elements working against them! And your leprechaun poem was absolutely a delight. I can almost see him peeking round the side of the trunk there, rolling his coin between his fingers :)

I’m flattered, Sarah and it shows you were paying attention. If I inspired this, then I am pleased indeed. It’s a beautiful tree. My own special fondness is for ‘naked’ … … well, perhaps we won’t go there!

Ray, thank you, again and yes, no need to go there as I think your work speaks for itself and honors the ‘naked’ so respectfully, purely, and beautifully.
