From Sonya:
Light, space and time: Each of these concepts appeals to me in my “day dreaming mode”.
How do I visually create the wind? As a child I would pass the time watching the clouds float by pushed by the winds above; listen to the music created on the upper branches of the willow tree.
I’ve been approached and accepted the opportunity of a solo show next year. Looking at the overall body of the artwork; “Light, space and time” appears to be the theme of much of the work, so I’ll build from that platform.

Riding the wind on the branch of the most secure tree. A secure way to be swept into its powers. Beautiful colors, Sonya. This will be a great exhibit for you. Congratulations.

This is beautiful and will no doubt be a ‘quick sale’ also. I know you told me not to put it at the top of the gallery… but I couldn’t resist. It’s way to pretty put at the botom.

Good luck with the show, Sonya. If this is setting the standard then it will be a stunning collection, I’m sure. This piece has a stunning perspective and viewpoint. Magical.

One day Sonya I would love to watch your hands paint. The way you work colours is amazing to me. And I do see the Acacia blossoms

Oh, Sonya! That is wonderful news
I am taken with your colors, too, and am very familiar with the music made by a willow tree from the one I grew up with.

You have beautifully rendered the movement of air and wind in this Sonya; dancing, swirling, magical, freeing movement. I love the softness and quality of your use of paint, and the colors simply sing. Congratulations on your upcoming exhibition – the theme sounds like one that will keep you busy with inspiring imagery! and as Ray has said – if this is an example of where you are going, I imagine an amazing collection!!
