Poor Ralph in his stripey pants. I had to show these side by side. The personality and tongue and cheek humor always make me chuckle.

I’m of the opinion that self esteem comes from our heart and mind. And if it’s strong, healthy and true- nothing from the outside can effect us or undermine it.

I’m glad you put them side by side, I was going to request this but just don’t like making too many demands on your time and you are, after all, the captain of the ship. I agree completely with your comments on self-esteem, but there are those who would try to undermine the hopes and dreams of the vulnerable. I think that is more what I’m trying to say in these two images.
    Thanks, Vikki.

fallen or pushed? shame or guilt? internal or external judgement.

I will have more to say, later.

Ray, such a powerful statement of displacement.

As an observer, I am particularly struck by the wings becoming part of the landscape.

It is interesting how humor can be used to make strong statements. Rusty, the wings being part of the landscape is crucial. There can be no escape as long as Ralph believes in his own heart that hell is where he belongs!

from the roots to the veins of the wings that hold him Foundation and flight may the winds lift as your art lifts my spirit! A prayer to him that doth need consoling

Sonya, thank you for your beautiful words, so very apt and to the point. Thank you.

Ray, I just want to give Ralph and his ‘stripey’ pants a very big and gigantic hug.

If you can’t find him, will I do?

    Ray,

I was in Columbus, Ohio ( a large city, if you don’t know) I kept seeing stripey pants.
    My heart pittered-pattered.

I’ve heard of Columbus, Ohio, certainly. How very curious about the stripey pants! I do hope you’ve recovered now, can’t have your heart pittering and pattering. But, the next challenge which I really hope you are going to have a go at, will contain at least one pair of stripeys between the two images I’ll be doing. Perhaps you’d better make sure you’re sitting down when you view them.

I will be sure to seek a doctors advice before viewing the next challenge.
