About Fred Dwight Fred is a student of Ray Shuell. He’s an Englishman living in France for the last fifteen years, took up painting after his wife died though he had spent many years taking photographs which he exhibited both here in France and in the UK. Now in his 80s, he works in oils and watercolors as well as continuing with his photography, always happy to experiment and develop his blossoming skills. Fred is also an ex-army, dispatch motorbike rider and boxing champion with more energy than the average 50 year old.

    Nice work Fred. Tute to you too! Your shading and highlights are well done and really creates a 3 dimensionality to the piece. (And love the color palette.)

    Hello Fred, welcome to your first challenge and I know you’ll be doing more. Can I tell you all out there that Fred still has the original piece but has sold print after print of this one, and it was, when it was painted, his very first watercolor. Talk about starting late in life! Well done to you, mate. Well done.
