Very endearing and real comment on life Rusty.
The application of colored pencil really creates and energy to the piece.

Your work just gets better and better, Rusty. The sadness and desolation just pours from the image. Yet humanity also is there in the held hands, hope in the road ahead. A beautiful image.

There are a lot of reasons people become homeless. Even if they are dodging the light to be in the shadows, I still dignify them in my thoughts.

I held the belief days before I could conjure up the artwork. It just seemed to me that I needed to create the appearance of a book illustration.
I felt the broken lines of the pen work. The pencil work seemed to smooth over the abrasions like a salve.
