I love your sense of humor in your work. Look at those STARS!
Vikki
So much in the mood of this theme. No doubt Mr. Sendak would be delighted with this and a whole new story would be born. Beautiful work Ray.
Rusty
I love the sea of eyes!!!!

I just love stars. There is a Rat constellation,… isn’t there? I know there’s a bear. Thank you Sonya.
Vikki, Mr. Sendak’s forest is quite scary but also fun, I wanted this to have the same feel. Thanks.
So do I, Rusty, I’m really quite pleased with the sea of eyes, they turned out much better than I thought they were going to. It can be difficult painting bright colors over black in watercolor. They all look a little reluctant to join in the charge though, don’t you think? Thank you.

Is that a wee pirate leading the charge? This is precious Ray.

A pirate mouse, Cheryl, leading an army of reluctant rats! I wonder who they’re after.

Ray! I love this so much. And all their little feet…and are those ‘mask shields’? I’d say reluctant. The mouse should go onward alone, perhaps!! Is it that big bad cat they’re after?

Yes, Sarah. I wanted the shields themselves to look a bit concerned about what was about to happen. I’m inclined to agree with you on the mouse going on alone, thing. It would be fun if it WAS the pirate cat they were after. Hmmmn, another picture comes to mind. Thank you.
