Ray love your work. This one transports. Especially intrigued by the repetition of distant mountains that trail into the night sky. Oh the textures and dream like quality of your work!

Ray, I echo Sonya. I am in love with your visions. I am searching into the distance…

Night time is notorious for the surrendering to restlessness. And his way out is undergound and out of the hillside? I wish for a closer look, I can’t quite be sure of the image in the right. Its too important to not know.
It is suggestive of the macbre style of Gorey and yet so you.

Just gorgeous Ray. I love all the cool color values then the little red apple bobbing in the water. i also really enjoy the little detail in far background: touch of red in the houses to the right and lit path on the left. Just fun details
and just beautiful! Now I’ve got to research who Edward Gorey and “Fat Freddy” to ull appeciate you inspiratin.

Thank you, you are all my inspiration.
Vikki, Edward Gorey is definitely worth the research and Fat Freddie is a character that appeared in an old hippie comic from the 60s called “The Furry Freak Brothers” a bunch of pot smoking degenerates who, at the time, were my heroes. Times HAVE changed (sort of).
Rusty, the image far right on the wall is a bit of graffiti containing an image of “Fat Freddie”, second finger raised! Have you noticed the dragon carved on the wall above the archway, also?
Sonya and Sarah, thank you. The devil is always in the detail.

You are lovely, Rusty. Thank you. Glad you like it. How’s Ralph and his friend doing?

This is amazing Ray. Wow, I love watercolor. I could stare at this for a very long time. It’s so peaceful and serene and so much is happening at the same time. I wonder what’s going on in town? I love the red apple!

Ralph has been a journey of his own. I’d like to know the story of the “Fallen Angel”, if you’ll tell it.

Thanks Rusty, perhaps I will and possibly very soon.
Lisa, I often wonder myself what’s going on in some of my pictures. I suppose it’s a little like a writer of stories who’s characters begin to take on a life of their own and start to lead the plot. Thank you.
