From Riika: “This set of art and poetry are dedicated to a special guy that had appeared in my life, James. I would like to thank the Artist’s Challenge & The Inferno: A Writer’s Challenge hosted by both Vikki and Sarah for this wonderful and inspiring theme “What Dreams May Come”. I believe that something we share our dreams and hobbies together is what dreams may come into reality. I don’t wish for eternity as what I treasure is the time we spent together in the present, the dream will never fade if we held it close to our hearts.”

Gorgeous work Riika. This is my favorite of all you’ve sent us. I love the detail of the star and the puzzel pieces. Wonderful layering of objects.

Leave it to a fantasy artist to so utterly blow the mind on a theme such as this. You have my attention.

This is a beautiful piece, Riika. I love paintings with layers that draw you into them. So much to look at, the addition of the puzzle pieces add to the intrigue. An engaging idea for sure.

Riika, I definitely appreciate and am drawn to your ‘visions’ and this one is no exception. Plus, I always look for the butterfly :)

Now this is my kind of image. Stunningly beautiful and so full of originality. I do love digital imaging. Unfortunately my Wacom won’t talk to my hard-drive anymore. Brilliant stuff!!!!!

:D Somehow when the theme came into my mind of thought of a puzzle and decided to work something out by painting a full digital art first, and making use of the layers in PS to work around with the puzzle live reference I had over here, to draw out the puzzle layout, after which i extract a few parts and scattered them around the art. I also make it as if a hard cardboard-like paper is behind the painting that the puzzle is being pasted onto.

I am glad you all liked it, oh yeah on the butterfly note, if you guys had noticed, every art that I had drawn, there will always be a butterfly somewhere ;D, I couldn’t help myself to place one of those in and glad it blended in pretty well without leaving the theme off course :D ~

And by the way, Ray, the USB cable should be able to replace if u able to get to an electronical store :P unless your laptop/pc usb holes aren’t working anymore XD
