From Madison:
As soon as I read the title of this challenge I thought of Pollock.

Paul Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 – August 11, 1956), known as Jackson Pollock, was an influential American painter and a major figure in the Abstract Impressionist movement.

Although this painting is called “Pollock Unleashed” my feelings here are that this is only a calm preliminary to Pollock’s real storm when he painted. In this room…he is just getting warmed up!!

He had a volatile personality, and struggled with alcoholism for most of his life. I can just see him setting up this space in a drunken stooper, bare feet and paint all over the place getting ready to go wild with his paints, getting ready to create his storm! “A Total display of rapid change of emotion,” is how I describe Pollock and his work! Re: “Pollock Unleashed”

I think no-one can explain Jackson better than Jackson himself: To read about Jackson Pollock’s views of his own work please visit K.MADISON MOORE‘S BLOG.

So Much Fun Madison! Pollock would be so impressedd.

And I’d highly recommend browsers check out Jackson’s own words about his work linked at the bottom of Madison’s description. It’s really interesting.

Great fun and a great image. It’s given me an idea for my next home decorating project. Expressionism unleashed; could be a dangerous thing on such a scale.
