From Vikki: She set down in a chair with her soda and found her eyes filling with tears. She thought about how hard she had worked just to ‘be part of this show’. Now all she felt was embarrassment and that’s when it happened….. To read this story please visit THE NEW INFERNO.

Thanks – I have a fun little short tale that goes with this on the New Inferno.

The background is so exciting in this painting! Love the flowers, though I am a Pepsi girl myself…

Almost tells a story of youth, lad buys girl friend a posy, has a drink, she sticks the flowers in the bottle, so romantic…

Thanks Rose and Barbra- I’ve actually had the coke bottle sitting back in a cabinet with the idea I’d use it one day in something. I have fun little short story that goes with it on the Inferno.

This is so original…makes me want to find an old coke bottle! The colors are sublime!

Wow, Vikki! Working outside your usual style, huh? Very nice – me likey…

    Remercie Paul.

Thanks Lisa- I want to use it again in something more involved. It’s just one of those ‘Coke Classic’ editions they put out now and then. They look like the original bottles but I don’t think they’re quite as heavy of a glass as I remember.

Thanks Lelan- I was just determined to get 3 paintings done for this theme. I’ve never painted so fast in my life. lol This was about an 6 to 8 hour max. I actually enjoyed the time limitation.

    Vikki,
There is something striking about familar image in a painting. A bottle like this is just the way I would keep flowers, any bottle in need….

I tried really hard to see if the background actually has words in it. I can almost make out something but then I have a good imagination.

A bit of a squint, and I can make out the classic hand-written “Pink Floyd” that graces the cover of “the Wall”
