From Kay:
This is my interpretation of my favorite Greek myth of Leda and the Swan. Zeus, the ruler
of the pantheon of Greek gods transforms himself into a swan to be able to seduce Leda, the queen of Sparta
She will bear children born from eggs as a result of this union. One of the offspring will later become Helen of Troy. In the lower right corner is the nest, with the eggs also
cradled by a swan feather.
The acorn and the leaf of the mighty oak tree are symbols of Zeus, as are the brilliant rays of the sun.
Leda wears a golden wristlet decorated with the symbol of the Greek city-state of Sparta on her right arm.
Red poppies and golden lilies, both favorites of the Greeks, surround the couple.

Incredible glass work. I am impressed with the attention to the symbolism from the myth. Amazing detail. Beautiful.

All I can say is “Oh My Dear Jesus!” Major gorgeous stain glass work! It’s absolutely breathtaking Kay. AND ITS HUGE! How long does it take to create something this intricate and large.

Thank you both!
Actually once I can tweak my final design & begin cutting it usually sings along rather smoothly. Until…..you know; I have to stop & COOK or do LAUNDRY or other mundane stuffs.
What takes the longest time & uses the most energy is the work put in to arrive at that final drawing. Often I have what I think is a good one but upon review the following day will re-do or discard completely. I would imagine that most artists work in this manner….don’t you….?

something I’ve always wanted to do, stained and leaded glass work. This piece of yours is truly beautiful. Where would we be without light?
