From Rusty: Native Americans used flint to make a wide variety of tools, weapons, and ceremonial pieces such as knives, arrowheads, and pipes. Found in Ohio, USA. Today it is often cut and polished for jewelry. This painting is
one of my new pieces for the “Mineral” Series.

    The variation in colors is really rich. Love those traces of greenish gold. Nice addition!

    It can be so difficult to capture the intricacies of something like a piece of mineral – they all have such delicate, individual properties. Looks like you’ve managed it without a hitch. Superb!
