My art life is an escape from my routine, regimented, predictable everyday life. My photographic adventures are a time when I get lost in the simple beauty of a flower, tree or landscape that on any other occasion I would not have time to notice… When I bead or knit, I enjoy the magical colors and textures of the beads or yarn and the different patterns and stitches… Drawing and painting are a wonderful challenge for me to get my imagination out of my head and onto paper or canvas.
