It's true,  the Art Card (ACEO)  Self Portrait won an award in "It's My Life" a juried show at Studio 14 in Tipp City Ohio.  The show's theme is to be a glimpse into the artist's life, mind, inspirations, etc.

I created this piece for the gallery, "Portrait of an Artist" a few months ago.  http://www.theartistchallenge.com/2010-05-22/art-challenge-31-portrait-of-an-artist/31-rusty-harden/

I call it "Arcane" as my artwork allows me to express things I would never reveal about myself.

Just another reason to be part of this art club...it brings out the best.

thanks Vikki and Sonya,

yea,  I was surprised that they said my name.  So when they named the piece that won, I expected the mineral painting but it was the other one.

I really like the aceo theme idea.  Small work can have a HUGE impact.  I wasn't around when you did it last time.

Let's plan it!   We also had an ACEO expert in to talk to us in the Pub just before the theme. Few of us knew how popular they are amongst collectors. (me included).

That is exciting, Rusty! I remember that one of yours.

I also vote for another ACEO challenge...especially because that is one I missed (must have been around spring fever time  Wink )

It is always nice to see a fellow artist recognized for his hard work. Take care.
