your usual MEDIUM, that is?  Wink

If you are tempted by other materials and answer the call, do you think it helps you in your chosen medium? How? Have you ever made a permanent switch, maybe in the process of discovering your true calling or do you like to move from one to another?

How many of these people have you met in your life who seem to be able to draw, paint, sculpt, sew, silk screen, install ('installation art'?), produce in all manners of carpentry, and likewise fashion a masterpiece out of an old shoe while at the same time constructing the next greatest thing since sliced bread with a single piece of paper? Basically, just an 'all around creative person'. They can be quite amazing!! Are YOU one of these types?  Smiley Cool

But, perhaps you don't engage in medium dabbling at all because you have no interest or you are just too completely in love with your own medium. There can never be enough great things said about FOCUS, in my opinion, anyway!

Busy?Huh??  You guys are Busy Huh, are you kidding me?

Seriously,  I have gone of in directions of who knows where its is going to go.  I have always been a huge fan of mixed media.  I used to create a lot of collage/paintings.  I don't know if it is because I like "stuff" or liked to use stuff to make a statement.  Either way,  I'd get lost in it.

So to answer Sarah's question,  I think that may be where I found that I enjoyed the story in art and eventually translated that into paintings.

To be self examining here,  I think I would create something out of a rock and a shoestring if that's all I had.  I can't help myself Cheesy.

Just doing a quick drive-by for now (ya know...cuz I'm so terribly busy and whatnot!  Wink ) but Rusty when you say, "I can't help myself", I think that says it all. If you have any creative bones, you just can't help yourself and will find an outlet no matter what, yes, even if the only things in front of you are a rock and a shoestring.  Smiley
