 The first thing I do when I go into the admin of the Challenge, is empty out the spam folder. (Or as I like to think of it- take out the online trash!)   Today is Tuesday and I  just emptied the trash  this weekend when we did the gallery.

Just since Saturday-we had 240 spammers attempt to leave comments on the current theme, 'Tender is the Night'.  Dumbfounding huh?  Normally its about 100 a week.

As awful as that is- it's also indicative of SOMETHING else: Spring time online traffic building.  Now is  the time to really get busy with your work, posting to the themes and polishing up your own websites.   

Our next theme is the April's Freebie and it's a fun one.  All you have to do is send a jpg with your info.  Check it out.

Do you have a spam filter?  Is that how you know or do you have to look at their comments?  Just curious.

Spam or no spam, the "yokes" on them with the upcoming challenge!!

Yes - a big time Spam filter.   If a visitor even hints of spam (adds more than 1 url) it dubs them spam and throws them in the folder.  I always scan over what's in the folder so I'm not trashing a potential buyer.

As you know, I also have a spam filter on the Pub. We get a minimum of 3 -6 a day. They all go on a list, so if they return they can't get in.   There's one guy who goes by the user name of 'zobicky.'  I think he sells viagra. lol He's got to have hundreds of IPs that he uses. He's been tormenting me since the first day the Pub opened.
