Is it just me? Have we come to ... "We're going to completely wipe out your home and all you've worked for....for the greater good?'

Can you explain the Louisiana delta flooding situation to me?  I honestly don’t get it.  People packed up their belongings and evacuated their homes with  the knowledge that the state is opening flood gates that will destroy their homes in order to protect the main cities like New Orleans. One homeowner said ‘Well ..we can’t do anything about it. We knew that was a risk when we built here and I guess it’s for the best.”

 Whaaaat?

Does the state of Louisiana plan to rebuild homes for all these people? Nope.   Will their homeowners insurance companies pay for this intentional destruction of the their homes.  Nope.  Why would the state sell properties in this delta and allow people to build homes there in the first place? We have areas throughout California that ‘are government owned' and for an EXCELLENT REASON! They are UNSAFE!  They're flood, fire or earthquake zones.’ (They're not...maybe CALAMITY will happen zones...They're BE ASSURED CALAMITY WILL HAPPEN zones!)    No one can build or buy there.  What’s up with the state of Louisiana?
